My name is Kylee, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m passionate about walking alongside individuals through life’s many challenges and transitions. I have experience working with children and young adults who are currently in, or have previously been part of, the foster care system, as well as individuals coping with chronic or terminal illness. I also have a special interest in supporting women as they navigate major life changes.

For many women, life transitions—such as pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting—can bring a wave of new emotions and challenges. My goal is to provide a safe, genuine, and nonjudgmental space where you can freely share your thoughts and feelings. I know how meaningful it can be to feel truly seen and heard, and it’s my priority that you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered throughout every season of your life.

Children today face unique challenges as the world continues to grow and change. I believe that, just like adults, children benefit from having space to pause, reflect, and process what they’re experiencing. By building a genuine connection and maintaining a consistent, trusting relationship, I strive to create a space where children feel safe to express themselves and grow. My experience working with children in the foster system has equipped me to support children from all backgrounds as they manage emotions, behaviors, and the effects of stress or trauma.

Using a person-centered and strengths-based approach, I focus on identifying and building upon your natural strengths to help you navigate challenges and uncover your inner resilience. My goal is to create a nurturing and collaborative environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll work toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

Welcome! My name is Karla Carrizales, a Licensed Master Social Worker, under clinical supervision of Amy Hord, LCSW-S. I am fluent in both English and Spanish with over six years of experience working with diverse populations across various mental health settings. I provide compassionate and culturally sensitive services to individuals navigating complex emotions, psychological, and social challenges.

I will be providing assistance to Amy Hord, LCSW-S with comprehensive psychosocial evaluations for immigration cases, including asylum, VAWA, U visa, and hardship waivers. I will be working closely with Amy to deliver detailed, trauma-informed reports that meet the evidentiary standards of immigration courts.

My area of focus includes depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, crisis intervention, stress management, and personality disorders. The holistic and integrative approach addresses the mind-body connection, recognizing that emotional distress often affects every area of a person’s life.

I believe that each client’s journey is unique, and I will work collaboratively to help you find your balance and the healing you deserve. My goal is to provide you with a safe, respectful environment where each individual feels empowered to explore their experiences, develop coping skills, process trauma, and build self-awareness.

Madison is Rooted's remote assistant. When not returning client calls or helping in the office, Madison spends time finishing her psychology degree in preparation for graduate school. A native of Amarillo, Madison enjoys family time, participating in recreational sports, and reading. A quote she values is "You are valuable simply because you exist. Not because of what you do or what you have done, but simply because you are." - Max Lucado.
